Ingersoll Rand in India

Ingersoll Rand, a global leader in mission-critical flow creation and industrial technologies, is committed to investing in its Indian operations to drive increased technological innovations, hydrogen compressor manufacturing and testing, and manufacturing capacity expansion. In a recent visit to New Delhi, Chairman and CEO of Ingersoll Rand Vicente Reynal met with leaders from top ministries to seek shared-value partnerships while discussing the economic benefits of investing in sustainability efforts to support India's transition to net-zero by 2070. Further bolstering the country's Make in India Initiative, Ingersoll Rand recently launched energy efficient Heat-of-compression (HOC) dryers at its world-class manufacturing facility in Naroda, Gujarat. "Our pursuit of sustainability continues to be bold and transparent," said Reynal. "Our products and services provide a unique opportunity and help address many key environmental issues. We are proudly driving toward our 2030 and 2050 environmental goals, all of which are focused on improvements in water, air and land quality."
"Being vocal for local, our new HOC dryers are manufactured at our Naroda facility and bring the latest innovations to help Indian businesses achieve greater efficiencies," said Amar Kaul, vice president and general manager, MEIA and Global Hydrogen Compression systems. "We are optimistic that local manufacturing will also help ensure faster delivery and deployment time alongside better cost benefits across the pharma, food & beverage, electronic, and automobile industries." Ingersoll Rand is committed to its long-standing partnership in India, providing advanced solutions and game-changing technologies for the future. In India, the company has four manufacturing facilities with more than 1500 employees.

Comments from Vicente Reynal - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer:

Vicente Reynal CEO Ingersoll Rand

"Through Q3, demand remained strong. And while macroeconomic, geopolitical and supply chain uncertainties continue to be a concern, we remain focused on what we can control while leveraging our strong balance sheet and operational mindset to execute on our commitments."

"Remaining agile in today's environment is critical, and you will see today how we continue to accelerate organic growth through demand generation and product execution. In addition, we remain committed to our capital allocation strategy, which is focused on inorganic growth through bolt-on acquisitions. Today, we're highlighting 6 new companies we have recently acquired or have under contract that will strengthen our position in core categories and broaden our exposure to high-growth, sustainable end markets."

"Since our Q2 earnings call, we announced the signing of 6 bolt-on acquisitions that enable us to increase value across ecosystems by expanding our core mission-critical flow creation technologies while accelerating our addressable market with close adjacencies. So let me quickly walk you through these deals."

"First, Airmax, which is a leading full-service provider of air compressors and compressed air system services based in France. This is an example of a strategic channel expansion for our ITS segment which will leverage Airmax' strong end-user relationship and technician network to convert competitive products and support aftermarket growth. Second is Pedro Gil, a leading Spanish manufacturer of blower and vacuum systems. This acquisition strengthens our position in core blower and vacuum categories in high-growth, sustainable markets, including water and wastewater. Next is Everest, which is a leading Indian manufacturer of blower and vacuum systems."

Comments from Vik Kini - Chief Financial Officer:

Vik Kini CFO Ingersoll Rand

"We remain on track to deliver on our $300 million commitment in cost synergies from the merger. And as we have indicated many times, we have a funnel that stands in excess of $350 million and we are ready to take incremental actions, if warranted by macroeconomic conditions and market activity.”

“Total company orders and revenue increased 10% and 14% year-over-year, respectively. We saw strong double-digit organic revenue growth in both ITS and PST at 19% and 15%, respectively. Overall, we posted a strong book-to-bill of 1.09 turns for the quarter, and we remain encouraged by the strength of our backlog, which is up over 40% year-over-year.”

“The company delivered third quarter adjusted EBITDA of $376 million, a 20% year-over-year improvement, and adjusted EBITDA margins of 24.8%, a 110 basis point year-over-year improvement and a 160 basis point improvement sequentially from Q2.”

“Free cash flow for the quarter was $253 million despite ongoing headwinds from inventory due to global supply chain challenges as well as the need to support backlog. And total liquidity of $2.6 billion at quarter end was up approximately $200 million sequentially. Our net leverage continues to improve and is at 1.0 turns, which is 0.1 turns better than the prior quarter."
